Day 161 - June 9

To say we got some rain today would be the understatement of the century. I'm not sure what the official rain total was, but I know Jason pumped about a foot off the pool before 1pm this afternoon. He also got to take the cover off the new pergola because it really likes to hold water. A lot.

It just dumped rain on us, starting with overnight storms. Seeing rain like that doesn't make you wonder why Mobile typically falls toward the top of the "rainiest US cities" list.

At some point after lunch, though, it slowed enough to make a quick run to the mailbox without getting soaked to the bone. Michaela was very happy to help in this endeavor, complete with rain boots and umbrella.

And I loved both of these pictures, so instead of just choosing one, I'm using both.
