For Valentine's Day, Michaela's Grandma and Grandpa Jeff sent her a card with $10 in it. Normally when she gets money in a card, I keep the cash and transfer money from my account to her account at our bank. She's got a nice little savings account going already because of that.
This $10 was different, though. It came with express instructions for her to spend the money on whatever she wanted. That week, what she wanted was paints.
Oddly enough, it's almost a full two weeks later, and she still likes the paints, and has used them often. After spending quite a bit of time outside this afternoon and about two seconds after getting the sidewalk chalk washed off her hands, she asked for her paints again.
Twenty minutes later she was done.
But she definitely was into it while she was working on her Cars/Princesses/Dinosaur Train paintings.
And Color Wonder stuff is the greatest invention ever. I might have mentioned that before, but I just wanted to say it again.
